What’s nice about doing affiliate marketing online is the fact that you can work on it in your spare time. Whether you work it up to its unlimited potential to replace the income you make on your day job or just work on it on the side to build a small fortune part time is all up to you.
You may have come across all these shady make money online scams, shell games, or pyramid schemes, but for a change, here is something legitimate and if you just take the time to listen, you might be able to hand that resignation letter to your boss and quit your day job in several weeks or months’ time utilizing the power of affiliate marketing that I’m about to share with you right now.
I was extremely skeptical when I first encountered this whole “Make Money Online” idea. If you live in today’s times, how can you not be skeptical with all the crazy and ridiculous income claims made by everyday people no different from the rest of us?
But one day it finally got to me. Instead of just shutting it out altogether and branding it a scam, I decided to take it one step further, get my feet wet, and prove or disprove it for myself.
What I encountered time and again was the term “Affiliate Marketing” but I had no idea on earth what that was, and I doubted if I ever wanted to be affiliated to something or anything for that matter.
But as I did more research, I found that Affiliate Marketing simply meant you could promote someone else’s product for a CUT of the profit, otherwise known as a commission.
And more often than not, with affiliate marketing you can even earn MORE than the original creator and seller of the product especially with sites such as Clickbank.com where you can earn up to 75% commissions which is nothing short of amazing.
When the time came for me to actually work this idea out, I wondered, “How the heck am I going to make commissions off these products, let alone sell them in the first place?”
I really didn’t have any idea about how to bring hits or traffic to a certain website. I didn’t even know how to make one friggin’ website at all.
But the more I explored the idea, I found that I didn’t have to know squat about any of this techie stuff to start earning for real online.
All I basically needed to do was get myself my very own key to online income which sites like Clickbank called an “Affiliate Link.” Affiliate links bear a unique tracking ID to the user who gets them so that when people clicked on my affiliate link and bought through that link, I receive credit and the corresponding commission for that sale.
The coolest thing about affiliate marketing is that you could get nice, hefty commissions from a product you didn’t make, through a website you didn’t make advertised by videos, with a salespage, and dozen other affiliate marketing tools you didn’t spend or do a single thing to make. Come to think of it, the only thing for you to make is dough.
The only real part you need to play in making a sale is to drive potential buyers, a.k.a. traffic, through your very own affiliate link and watch things roll in from there. Is the hard work cut out for you? You bet!
Once you set up a great trail, a.k.a. funnel that would lead interested people to your link, you can now sit back and relax as the funnel you’ve set up will now run on autopilot.
People can see and buy the product I’m promoting 24/7, 365 days a year even when I’m not doing a single thing online and Clickbank would just mail me checks from the commissions as they come. Can you think of anything sweeter than that?
As I thought about the opportunities of affiliate marketing had to offer, it dawned on me that its potential was limitless. I didn’t even have to spend a single cent if I chose not to.
I began to think that if I could write a few articles on Squidoo.com or Hubpages.com and naturally incorporate my affiliate links in them, they would gain exposure to whoever read my articles and they would start clicking away to my gain.
Beyond Squidoo and Hubpages, I could even post my affiliate links on the social media giants like Facebook and Twitter for all my friends to see!
But no matter how exciting they are, this is just scratching the surface as these are only my own ideas. I still needed proper guidance and expert advice to gain the optimum advantage in terms of time, tactics, strategies, and to avoid making unnecessary mistakes with affiliate marketing.
